Exploring Austria: An Empire and its wine regions
August 27 - September 2
Austria was once home to a great empire, and our tour will lead you through the highlights and relics that provide a bridge to the past and inspiration for the future. From our entry via Vienna to the castle-laden region of Burgenland, we will give you an intimate view of historic and contemporary culture, cuisine, and world-class wines.
Vienna, with its perfect blend of Parisian opulence and rich art and design, is one of the grandest cities in the world. From the museums, to the opera house, we’ll spend a few days touring the city, with plenty of free-time built in for you to explore, shop and even catch an opera on your own. Next, we'll travel to the countryside to experience the famous Austrian hospitality! The tour will take you in to the private homes and kitchens of some of the country’s finest chefs and into the cellars of its esteemed winemakers in one of our favorite wine-making regions.
A Grand Tour of Piedmont: From the Capital of Torino to the White Truffle Fair of Alba
October 27 - November 4
Join us on a journey through the Langhe, one of Italy's foremost regions for food, wine, and beauty - at the very best time of the year - White Truffle Season! Now in our third year, we are so excited to share our Grand tour of Piedmont with you. With every taste, sip, and experience included, we'll begin in the city of Torino and come to understand why this off-the-beaten-path city is one of Italy's hidden gems. Afterwards, we'll spend a week on a stunning estate and winery in the countryside of the Langhe, where each day is a different adventure in food, wine, culture, and relaxation.
White Truffle Culinary Boot Camp
October 22 - 26
As an additional mid-Fall event, we are pleased to announce our very first White Truffle Extravaganza, a week of unique hands-on experiences, demonstrations and accompanying meals in the warm reclaimed farm-house at Ca' Rapulin. Perched atop the peak of a hill, Ca' Rapulin provides wonderful views the region from all sides. This trip is meant to serve as a supplement to the Grand Tour of Piedmont, for those looking for a more hands-on heavy adventure, or to add an exciting twist to existing vacation plans.
We'll start things off in style with a white truffle dinner at Ca’ Rapulin, our farmhouse and winery in the heart of Italy’s white-truffle laden hills. Over the course of four days, guests will journey with a trifalau (truffle hunter), and learn how to bake traditional styles of bread in a wood fired oven, roll out classic shapes of pasta, and create desserts utilizing the famed Piemontese Hazelnut. All of our meals will be enhanced by truffles, fragrancing the air as they're shaved onto each dish.
